Much like Swizz Beatz and other popular hip hop figures from the early 2000s, Pharrell has not been in the public eye as much as he traditionally is. In 2010, Pharrell made headlines when he began working with Game. Since then, there has not been too much out of Pharrell.
Earlier this year, however, Pharrell gained media attention when he began working with upstarts, Mac Miller and Tyler, the Creator. Two completely different types of hip hop artists, Mac Miller and Tyler, the Creator are two of rap’s biggest young stars. A connection like Pharrell could be vital for their careers.
MTV’s “Buzzworthy” recently spoke to Pharrell and he would speak on some of his other upcoming projects. Pharrell’s main topic was his upcoming solo work on Places and Spaces I’ve Been. Aside from his own work, Pharrell spoke on producing for Tyler, the Creator’s Wolf album, which was initially due for a May 2012 release date.
