Since debuting in January 2015, FOX’s “Empire” has been television’s number one show. Created by Lee Daniels and starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the hip hop-themed show has done well. Phylicia Rashad is now added to the show, playing as the mother of councilman, Angelo Dubois (Taye Diggs), whom she is trying to groom into more.
