Earlier this week, Phylicia Rashad was receiving her flowers, from Twitter. There was a debate about the top TV moms and Clair Huxtable won. Really, there wasn’t much of a debate, as names were thrown around, and then Clair was mentioned.
Phylicia Rashad set the bar very high for the TV moms who followed. Many of the TV moms were somewhat modeled after Phylicia Rashad’s portrayal. Rashad, meanwhile moved on into other acting roles, even as recently as the late 2010s, taking on a villainous role, on “Empire.”
In real life, Phylicia Rashad is taking on a new career. She has returned to her alma mater, Howard University. Here, Rashad will serve as the Dean of the re-established College of Fine Arts.
