Pic of Black women dating older White men sparks controversy
Within the dating world, there’s an ongoing debate within the Black community. The debate is whether or not Black women’s needs are being fully met by Black men. As a result, some women are advising them to “divest.” In other words, date outside the race. Mostly, this has meant Black women being open to the idea of going out with White men. Some women have done this and found success. A photo circulating Facebook showed some Black women who did this. As a result, it’s sparked controversy.
Truthfully speaking, happiness is all the matters when it comes to dating. Of course, anything outside of the norm is sure to ruffle feathers. But, if people dedicate themselves to going to where they are treated the best and where they’re comfortable, things tend to go better. In addition, if those who are outside of the bubble on these things mind their own business, situations would be less controversial. But, that takes all of the fun out of life.
On Facebook, a photo has been circulating, and it shows three couples. These couples consist of three Black women being held by three White men. The photos make it obvious that these men, who appear to be a bit older, are involved romantically with these women. As the photo is being shared, there are Black women applauding these women for finding love outside of the traditional space. Meanwhile, a large number of Black men have not had much good to say about the photo.
