The Ultimate Reggaeton Star
Pitbull is an artist that changed the look and sound of reggaeton. His debut 2004 album M.I.A.M.I., delivered a unique blend of latin hip-hop, crunk music and of course reggaeton. That album featured the hit single “Culo”, which was produced by Lil Jon. Further adding to his hit roster he released numerous successful albums, including Planet Pit and Global Warming. Topping the Billboard charts, those albums produced viral singles like “Give Me Everything” and “Feel This Moment”. Other hits like “I know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” and “Hotel Room Service” both topped the Billboard Hot 100. To date Pitbull has sold over 25 million studio albums and over 100 million singles worldwide.
In addition to his vibrant music, the Grammy-winning artist is a strong advocate for education and community development in South Florida. In 2012 he founded the first SLAM! (Sports Leadership, Arts and Management), tuition-free public charter school in Miami. Furthermore, that school is now nationwide with multiple locations including Las Vegas and Atlanta. Currently, the graduation rate for SLAM! is 96%.
