Ja Morant has been a major trending topic on social media once again, this month. This is as a result of him showing a gun on Instagram Live, while out with his friends. Furthermore, the Memphis Grizzlies decided to suspend him from all team activities.

“My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions,” said Morant in a statement, following that incident. “I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.”

This comes after Morant initially showed off a gun on Instagram Live in March, while inside of a Denver strip club. Morant visited that club, following the Grizzlies’ loss to the Nuggets. Therefore, he went on to be suspended for eight games, by the team. Morant also supposedly briefly visited a facility in Florida, for mental health treatment.

Meanwhile, there is now concern for Morant’s mental health, once again. On Wednesday, he posted to his Instagram stories, where he said how much he loves various family members. This led many to believe that Morant was having suicidal thoughts.

According to TMZ, this resulted in a welfare check being conducted at Morant’s home. This was revealed by a spokesperson for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, at his home in Tennessee. They ended up revealing that Morant is “fine.” He’s also said to be taking a break from social media now.
