With the holiday season in full swing, shoplifting is increasing. As a result, workers in most dollar stores, convenience stores, and pharmacies are warned to be prepared. Most stores’ policies are that workers not confront people stealing out of stores. Instead, their job is simply to notify the authorities. One man shoplifting out of a Walgreens was so bold that he did it, as the employees confronted him, and the police were recording him. After that, he rode past them on his bike, and out of the store.
Over the past five years, retail theft has increased by 94% in the United States. Because shoplifting has become such a problem, retailers now count it 2% to 3% of their sales. Meanwhile, the problem has become a $100 billion problem. Around 9% of people in America are shoplifters. One person who is a part of that 9% was more bold than most shoplifters. He did his right in the open, with a trash bag, as store employees tried stopping him, and right in front of the cops.
Riding a bicycle inside of a Walgreens pharmacy, a man went in and began stealing. The man was fully prepared, coming in with a black trash bag. Actually, he had two bags, and he was loading them both with products from the store. Meanwhile, the people working in the store were trying to stop him. Not only were the employees there, but also, the police were there. An officer recorded the man as he was filming. One cop tried to take one of his bags, as the man rode out of the store on his bike.
