Polo G postpones “Hood Poet” album after recent arrests
Polo G was initially scheduled to release his fourth studio album, “Hood Poet,” on September 15. However, that is no longer the case, according to an announcement made by the Chicago rapper, on Instagram.
“Wanted to Tap Back in & Let y’all kno imma be postponing my album drop til further notice…just gettin back on track from a minor set back I’ll be updating y’all and droppin new music soon Ik y’all been waitin on me & I appreciate the ones who show genuine support but it’ll be worth the wait I promise.🖤💯”
This all comes after Polo and his brother Trench Baby were arrested twice in 24 hours, at their Los Angeles home, last month. Polo was arrested for gun possession, and his brother was arrested for robbery. An arsenal of weapons and drugs were also found in the home, which went on to be confiscated by police.
However, according to TMZ, Polo G’s upcoming concerts are still on. This includes a show in New Mexico in October, touring in Europe, as well as performing in Canada in December. This also comes after Polo took to Twitter/X to reveal that he’s considering retirement from music, after the Hood Poet album is released.
