Pooh Shiesty avoids life sentence, after pleading guilty to firearms conspiracy charge, but still faces eight years in prison

Pooh Shiesty has been incarcerated since last May, during Memorial Day weekend in Miami. Shiesty reportedly ended up accidentally shooting a security guard at the King Of Diamonds strip club.

The Memphis rapper has since been denied bond on multiple occasions, due to him being involved in a October 2020 shooting in Miami as well. This case stems from this particular case, where a man was shot in the buttocks, at a hotel. The incident involved a shoe and marijuana deal gone wrong. Shiesty is facing a life sentence.

According to Rolling Stone though, Shiesty is no longer facing this life sentence. This is due to him entering a guilty plea, this morning. This was for the charge of conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes.

Due to this guilty plea, three other charges were able to get dropped. Due to the plea, Shiesty now faces eight years and a month in prison, as opposed to the original life sentence.

Prosecutors were able to link Shiesty in this incident due to a Louis Vuitton bag that contained $40,912 in cash fell out of the driver’s seat of his McLaren. The serial number of one of the $100 bills matched up with the bills that Shiesty flashed on Instagram.

A few weeks ago Shiesty also released his “Federal Contraband Freestyle.” Shiesty recorded this song while from the facility he’s incarcerated at. This comes after Shiesty had a breakout first half of 2021, with his “Back in Blood” single featuring Lil Durk which went 2x platinum, as well as his “Shiesty Seeson” mixtape, which ddbuted at  number two on the Billboard 200 chart.

As of now, there is still no official date for Shiesty’s sentencing.
