Pooh Shiesty Denied Bond Again, Even After Security Guard Who Was Shot By Shiesty at King of Diamonds in Miami, Recanted His Statement To Police

Pooh Shiesty has been incarcerated for over a week, after turning himself in to police. This is after a shooting that occurred at the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami during Memorial Day weekend. The Memphis rapper fired a round from a gun, after noticing that $40,000 was gone from his pockets. In the process, a security guard, Frivin Dor, was hit in the ankle.

Shiesty was originally granted $10,000 bond, but that was revoked, after a judge found out about his shooting case in Miami from October 2020. Dor also went on to recant his statement to police, after citing that he was on painkillers and didn’t even recall speaking to police.

Even with this latest development. The 1017 artist is still behind bars, according to The Miami Herald. This will be the case at least until Shiesty’s preliminary hearing, on July 22. The report added that feds in Miami have been wanting to press charges ever since the Miami shooting incident from October. That incident was regarding an an Air Jordan 4 sneaker and marijuana deal gone wrong.

“This is very concerning to me. Our office is obviously investigating it,” said Miami-Dade prosecutor Ruben Scolavino to Circuit Judge Ellen Venzer.

In this case, Shiesty faces 20 years in prison if convicted. This is all happening after he’s had an epic breakout 2021. His “Back In Blood” single featuring Lil Durk hit platinum status, a peak of number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and his February “Shiesty Season” mixtape debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. This week, Shiesty was also named to XXL’s 2021 Freshman cover.
