Pooh Shiesty is Reportedly Changing His Not Guilty Plea, to Guilty, For Involvement in 2020 Miami Shooting

Pooh Shiesty was one of the biggest breakout stars at the beginning of the year, as he shined, with his breakout hit single, “Back In Blood,” ft. Pooh Shiesty. That went 2x platinum, as it appeared on his debut mixtape, “Shiesty Season,” which was the number two album in the US. That all came after signing to Gucci Mane’s 1017 record label, in 2020.

Legal issues started to really plague Shiesty this past Memorial Day, though. He was arrested in Miami, after accidentally shooting a security guard, after trying to shoot someone else, due to his stacks of cash supposedly being taken out of his pocket.

Shiesty has been denied bond multiple times, due to a previous shooting, in Miami, in October 2020. He ended up shooting a man, after being sold a pair of Air Jordan sneakers, and marijuana. The Memphis rapper plead guilty, in this case, but now, he is changing course.

Shiesty is asking a judge to go to the guilty plea route, as a co-defendant also asked to do the same. This all comes after Shiesty was initially set to head to trial this month. The co-defendant robbed the man of his jewelry during that sneaker sale gone wrong, as he also shot another man in the hip. Shiesty shot the victim, from his McLaren, who was fighting back.

“We’ve entered into plea negotiations because there have been developments in the case that I think changed the dynamics of the case,” said Shiesty’s attorney, Bradford Cohen.

Shiesty currently faces life in prison. This is all part of a four-count federal indictment. BIG 30, Shiesty’s close friend, from Memphis, and who is signed to Moneybagg Yo, recently said on Twitter, that he believes this won’t happen.
