Pooh Shiesty has been one of the biggest new stars of hip-hop to kick off 2021 and it all started in January with the success of his breakout hit single, “Back In Blood,” featuring Lil Durk. This all comes off the heavy momentum he built in 2020 by signing with Gucci Mane’s 1017 record label.
Back in Blood has been a fan-favorite and now, it is eligible for platinum status by the RIAA in the US. This is after selling over 1 million units, according to Chart Data. This record appeared on his new “Shiesty Season” mixtape, which was released in February. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard US Top R&B Hip-Hop albums chart.
Back In Blood also peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and currently stands at No. 13 as well. Shiesty has positioned himself to continue to be one of the hottest rappers in the game in 2021 and Back In Blood was just the record that the Memphis native needed.
