While fans are happy “Empire” has returned for a third season, it isn’t going well for everyone. Poor Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) can’t catch a break, right now. During the season premiere, Andre watched his wife, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) die.
The death of Rhonda marked her second fall in six months, as she was shoved by Anika (Grace Gealey), killing their child. Andre is devastated, as he faced the worst pain and his meds are off, again. It is a tough time to be Andre Lyon, but he is being there for his brothers.
“Empire” continues to show Andre’s downfall, as he motivated his brothers, Jamal and Hakeem (Jussie Smollett, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray) to rise above their problems. Taking his own advice, Andre went to his and Rhonda’s old house to retrieve their belongings, only for the cops to be called on him and they attacked him. Poor Andre is the mantra of Twitter, right now.
