Pop Smoke Facing Fed Charge of Illegal Interstate Transport of Stolen Vehicle After Not Returning Rolls Royce To Owner After Verbal Agreement in November

Brooklyn rapper, Pop Smoke, blew up in 2019 with his hit single “Welcome To The Party” which appeared on his debut mixtape “Meet The Woo.” He has since appeared on big such records such as H.E.R.’s new “Slide” remix and Travis Scott’s “Gatti.”

Smoke was in France this week for Paris Fashion Week but is now facing some serious legal issues. According to TMZ, he was arrested at JFK Airport in New York today on the charge of interstate transport of a stolen vehicle. This involved a 2019 Rolls Royce Wraith he received from a car owner in California.

Smoke met the owner at a studio in Los Angeles back in November where he got the luxury car in exchange for the owner getting VIP treatment at a show. This was a verbal agreement as Smoke would use the Rolls Royce for a music video. It turned out to be a one-day rental as the owner wanted it back quickly.

Smoke didn’t return the Rolls Royce in the timely manner that it was asked and then, it was tracked down via GPS as it was located in Arizona. It ended up being reported as stolen. He saw Smoke post the car on Instagram in December though.

Today, Smoke is being arraigned in Brooklyn. It’s unclear at the moment if he is illegible for bail.
