Pop Smoke Was Reportedly Shot by 15-Year-Old, in Robbery Attempt of Rolex and Cuban Link Chain, During Home Invasion in Hollywood Hills, That Led To Smoke’s Murder

New information has been surfacing in court regarding the murder of Pop Smoke last February. Some of the info has been how the robbers entered the Hollywood Hills home he was renting while he was in the shower. They then held a woman there at gunpoint. Smoke ran out the shower but then was shot and was kicked on. The Brooklyn rapper tried to run but was then shot again.

Now, additional info is coming out regarding the shooter. Minors were involved in this murder as the shooter is said to be a 15-year-old boy, according to the New York Daily News. This was reportedly all done over a Rolex that he wanted. The robbers were initially arriving to the luxury home owned by former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, Teddi Mellencamp, and her husband, Edwin Arroyave, after Smoke accidentally posted his location on Instagram.

This young boy went on to admit that they had plans to rob Smoke of this Rolex and a Cuban link chain. This audio was obtained by an officer as the boy revealed this information to a cellmate at a juvenile detention center last May. The watch was reportedly sold for $2,000. He and three other suspects ended up being charged with murder in early June.

LAPD Det. Carlos Camacho also revealed in court on May 7 that the weapon used to shoot Smoke was a Baretta 9 (mm). This hearing was held for 20-year-old Corey Walker, another suspect in the shooting.

The month that Smoke was killed at the very young age of 20, he had just released his “Meet The Woo 2” mixtape. He went on to have an epic posthumous 2020 as his debut studio album, “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon,” was released. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and went platinum. Smoke was also nominated for a Grammy two months ago for Best Rap Performance for his 2019 breakout hit single, “Dior.”
