Pop Smoke’s 2019 Breakout Single, “Dior,” Passes 500 Million Spotify Streams

Last month, Pop Smoke’s second posthumous album, and the second of his career overall, “Faith,” was released. This went on to become his second straight number one album, as it contained appearances from Kanye West, Takeoff, Pusha T, Dua Lipa, Future, and more.

The late Brooklyn rapper’s older music is still in heavy rotation for fans as well. One of them, is “Dior,” one of his two singles from 2019, which put him on the map, as a star.

Dior continues to put up big streaming numbers, as now, it has totaled over 500 million streams, on Spotify. This record is also 2x platinum in the US. Dior even scored a Grammy nomination this past spring, for Best Rap Performance.

Dior went on to be placed on the Faith album as well, just as it had been on the first “Meet The Woo,” mixtape, in 2019. The remix, featuring Gunna, was also released on “Meet The Woo 2” in February 2020, which was Smoke’s final project that he was alive to see released. He was shot and killed 12 days later, in Hollywood Hills, CA, in a home invasion.
