Pop Smoke’s Hit Single “Dior” Goes Platinum on Two-Month Anniversary of His Death

Today officially marks two months since rising Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke was tragically short and killed in a Hollywood Hills mansion. Almost two weeks before his death, he had just released his ‘Meet The Woo 2’ mixtape which featured the single “Christopher Walking.”

Dior” was a popular single of Smoke’s that appeared on the first Meet The Woo project last summer and was also placed into the sequel. Fans continue to stream Smoke’s music in his memory and now, Dior has officially been certified platinum by the RIAA, according to Chart Data. This is after it reached the 1 million units mark.

On Meet The Woo 2, it also featured the remix to Dior which had Gunna drop a hot verse. Smoke originally broke out as a star last summer with the release of his “Welcome To The Party” single that ended up receiving remixes with Nicki Minaj and Skepta.
