It’s been over three years now, since hip-hop lost a rising star in 20-year-old Pop Smoke.  The Brooklyn rapper was initially shot and killed in a robbery attempt while inside of a West Hollywood Airbnb. At the time, Pop was buzzing with his new “Meet The Woo 2” mixtape.

Furthermore, Pop went on to score two straight number one posthumous studio album. That was done in 2020 with the debut “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon,” in the summer of 2020, and “Faith,” in the summer of 2021.

Meanwhile, more Pop Smoke celebrations will be held next month, in honor of him. His mother, Audrey Jackson, just announced that the annual Pop Smoke Day in Brooklyn will take place on July 20, which is his birthday.

This day is also part of the “Pop Smoke Festival,” as there will also be events from July 16-19. Therefore, those include a food harvest and produce giveaway, a youth summit, a Pop Smoke Gala Demeanor, as well as a Pop Smoke basketball clinic.
