As Pop Smoke’s family continues to search for answers in Smoke’s murder, hip-hop continues to mourn the loss of one of its rising stars. The Brooklyn rapper was shot to death at a Hollywood Hills, CA home two days ago. No suspects have been arrested yet as the amount of shooters who entered the home has been reported to be four.
Police have also added that Smoke was likely targeted in this case and wasn’t solely a home invasion to commit a robbery. This is after many felt that Smoke set himself up after posting the address to the home he was staying in that was displayed on a bag on Instagram. The cause of death is now officially been released by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, per BET. It is being ruled as a gunshot wound to the torso.
Smoke broke out as an artist in the summer of 2019 with his hit single “Welcome To The Party” which appeared on his debut mixtape “Meet The Woo.” Two weeks ago, he released the sequel which featured the single “Christopher Walking” along with the “Dior” record that was featured on the first mixtape.
