Pop Smoke’s posthumous debut studio studio album, ‘Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon,’ has been a huge success. It sold 248,000 copies in its first week after being released on July 3 and debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was the biggest posthumous debut since Michael Jackson did so in 2009.

The support for the late Brooklyn rapper continues to be tremendous as two weeks after the album’s release, it has officially been certified gold by the RIAA in the US, according to Chart Data. This is after 500,000 units were sold. In addition to this certification, the anticipated deluxe edition will be released on July 20, according to Rap Caviar. It’s rumored to have 15 new songs. Some of the most popular records on Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon so far have been the lead single, “Make It Rain” featuring Rowdy Rebel, “Something Special,” “For The Night” feat. Lil Baby and DaBaby, and “West Coast S*it” feat. Quavo and Tyga.

Smoke’s “Paranoia” record feat. Pusha T, Gunna, and Young Thug was initially supposed to appear on the deluxe edition but Pusha requested his verse to be removed. This comes after Thug blasted him on social media last week due to Pusha supposedly dissing Drake on his verse. Thug believed that Pusha could’ve did that on his own song.

It also appears that Smoke will be getting justice regarding his murder that took place back on February 19 in Hollywood Hills, CA. Two men and two teenagers were arrested with all of them being charged, per TMZ. The death penalty is on the table for the two adults. The two adults are 19-year-old Corey Walker and 18-year-old Keandre Rodgers. Their exact charges are murder with special circumstance allegations that the killing went down during the commission of a robbery and burglary. The two minors were charged with one count of murder and robbery in juvenile court.
