Pop Smoke’s “What You Know Bout Love” wins at iHeart Music Awards

The 2022 iHeart Radio Music awards went down in Los Angeles last night. The late Pop Smoke went on to be honored, as he took home one of the biggest awards of the night.

This win by the Brooklyn rapper was for “What You Know Bout Love.” Pop won this award over “Essence” by WizKid featuring Tems, “Time Today,” by Moneybagg Yo, “Up” by Cardi B, and “Way 2 Sexy,” by Drake featuring Future and Young Thug.

What You Know Bout Love was originally released on Pop’s 2020 posthumous debut studio album, “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon.” The song peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and is 2x platinum in the US.

Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon was also Pop’s first of two consecutive number one albums. This project contained  34 tracks in total (after the deluxe edition) and included appearances from Quavo, Gunna Young Thug, Jamie Foxx, Quavo, Future, and more.

It’s been over two years since Pop was shot and killed in West Hollywood, at an Airbnb. However, the suspects in the case have all sinc3e been put in custody.
