Popular Phoenix rapper, D Mac Deluxx, was shot and killed after celebrating his birthday

It’s unfortunate that every weekend sees the loss of a promising, young, life. Somewhere, actual change needs to happen and more than just a social media campaign. Tragedy struck in Phoenix, last night, and a man celebrating his birthday was the victim.

Those who follow the Phoenix hip hop scene know D Mac Deluxx and what movement he had. Known by many for his music, including collaborations with Keak Da Sneak, D Mac had solid buzz. His last music video was “Full of Myself,” from early this year.

Last night, D Mac Deluxx celebrated his birthday and fully expected to go back to his regular life, this morning. There are no details about what led to the shooting, just that shots were heard and then D Mac’s body was found. The man was 26 years old and had a full life ahead of him.
