Currently, Starz has a winner with their Saturday night programs. This summer, “Power” was reintroduced and was more powerful, no pun intended, than ever before. Omari Hardwick is bringing all kinds of energy into the character of Ghost.
The season finale was titled “Ghost Is Dead” and 50 Cent hinted at a major character dying. Hardcore TV fans knew Ghost, portrayed by the aforementioned Hardwick, was safe. However, 50 Cent hinted that any character could die.
Ultimately, 50 Cent’s character of Kanan died one episode after he killed his own son, Shawn (Sinqua Walls). All of the “Power” drama has the hip hop world buzzing, so the second season ended with a bang. Drawing 4.42 million gross viewers last weekend, “Power” set a network record and ratings increased by 42% over the season one finale.
