There was a time when mass shootings were not a common occurrence. Instead, it was simply a shocking moment and didn’t appear as if another was on the horizon. Now, it is a commonplace fact of life.
The state of Virginia has had their fair share of mass shootings, over the past two decades. But, the lives that were senselessly cut short can never be brought back. This time, the city of Virginia Beach was the home of the tragedy.
Virginia Beach’s municipal complex was shot up, where eleven, or twelve, people were killed. Further reporting revealed it was a “disgruntled employee.” Regardless of who it was, outrage has ensued, on Twitter, over yet another person having access to high-powered weapons, and politicians doing nothing about it.
