A fusion of two veterans in the game helped make one of the most dope new sounds in hip hop in the year of 2014. This came in the form of Royce Da 5’9 and DJ Premier coming together to form PRhyme, a new group/album. Last week, PRhyme released their new album to very positive reviews.
Fans of real hip hop have not had much to enjoy on the commercial level in 2014. But, they were given many gems on he underground, with PRhyme providing plenty of the things that made the golden era golden. Their project is one of the best ones to be released during the year of 2014.
PRhyme stopped by Shade 45 to talk to Sway for “Sway In The Morning.” This is where they talked about their work with Jay Electronica on the self-titled album. They also disucssed their choice to sample Adrian Younge, who happens to be one of the hottest up-and-comers in the game.
