As technology has evolved, so has the prison system. When Facebook became a prominent social networking tool, prisons soon allowed inmates to create profiles. After that, other social platforms began to gain a position. So when prisoners were allowed time on the computer, they were allowed to sign up for social networks. As a result, when social media evolved, so did the prisoners’ use of it. Now, just like those who are free, they also show off on social.
When people think of prison culture, a lot comes to mind. Given the advances in social media, even people behind bars use social media. They see what other people do and they do the same.
