What happened, in Puerto Rico, is a disgrace to the reputation that is supposed to be America. Well over a year, Puerto Rico has gone without electricity. A few weeks ago, lights were finally restored, only to go back out again.
Because of the shabby treatment of the whole island of Puerto Rico, by the government, people have taken to the streets. With everything that’s going on, these people have a right to be violent. But, while asking for basic human living conditions, they are coming in peace.
Too bad the powers that be are using underhanded tactics to get them to stop. Yesterday, while the protesters were fighting for their rights, they had teargas turned on them. This adds to the disgrace of the whole recovery of Hurricane Maria.
