Pusha T explains “My Name is My Name” delay and reveals release date with MTV’s “RapFix Live” [VIDEO]

Pusha T 12The fact that Pusha T was so early in announcing his debut album is what has disappointed fans of his. Before he released Wrath of Caine, Pusha T announced he would have a new album out in 2013. Instead, Pusha T has hit his fans with a series of delays and now his label-mates will be dropping albums before him.

Used to how the game goes, Pusha T has taken the downtime to rework his album and he is pleased with the results. An advantage a delayed album has is more time for the artist to put together their new album. Pusha T is currently in Brooklyn holding things down for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

MTV’s “RapFix Live” is in Brooklyn for the awards and Pusha T sat down with them this week for the show. In their interview, Sway Calloway wasted no time asking Pusha T about when the album was coming out and he said October 8. Pusha T also explained why the date has been delayed so often.
