Pusha T talks “Cruel Summer” with MTV News [VIDEO]

When Big Sean announced a G.O.O.D. Music album was in the works, the stage was set for one of the biggest albums of the year. Kanye West established G.O.O.D. Music at the start of his rap career. While the label had a roster full of established artists and rising stars, G.O.O.D. Music’s profile was rather low.

Big Sean, Pusha T, and Kanye West experienced much individual success throughout 2011, which led to G.O.O.D. Music gaining more attention. While the profile was higher, the label still lagged behind Rick Ross’ Maybach Music and Lil Wayne’s Young Money. This is no longer the case, with Cruel Summer out.

The music which led up to the album helped raise the profile of the G.O.O.D. Music collective. One of the most-anticipated albums of the year, the members of G.O.O.D. made their media rounds in promotion of the album. In addition to FUSE TV and BET, MTV also spoke with Pusha T and he spoke on hearing the album for the first time.
