Quavo performs Takeoff tribute song “Without You” with Maverick City Music at Grammys [VIDEO]

Quavo pays tribute to takeoff with “Without You” at Grammys

The 2023 Grammys were filled with plenty of memorable performances. Among those were the In-Memoriam segment, which paid homage to notable figures who have passed away, over the past year.

One of those included in the In-Memoriam, was late Migos rapper, Takeoff. Quavo was in attendance to perform at that segment, with his “Without You” song. This record was released earlier this month, and served as a tribute to Takeoff, who was his fellow Migos group member, as well as his nephew. Therefore, this performance was done alongside the Maverick City Music choir.

Takeoff initially passed away in the early hours of November 1, following a shooting that took place in Houston. That occurred outside of a bowling alley, as Quavo was in attendance. The shooting was said to have went down as a result of a heated dice game, as Quavo also participated in that game. 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested in December, but has since been released on $1 million bond. Clark is said to be a well-known DJ in the Houston area.
