Quavo pushes “Rocket Power” album’s release date to August 18

Quavo announces new August 18 release date for “Rocket Power”

Quavo’s upcoming solo studio album was initially scheduled to be released on August 4, as he initially announced in late July. However, there is some quick change of plans, in regards to a later release date. Quavo has just taken to social media to reveal that Rocket Power will be out on August 18 instead. In addition to this announcement, the Atlanta rapper also shared a photo of himself inside of a recording studio.

“We gotta run some more tests before the rocket is ready to launch,” said Quavo on his social media feeds. “8/18 #RocketPower”

Furthermore, Quavo initially released a trailer for the album a few weeks ago, in anticipation of it. This included various tributes to the late Takeoff, which included Quavo holding his rocket chain. The album’s title is in honor of Takeoff, as he was Quavo’s nephew, as well as his fellow Migos group member.

In 2023, Quavo has released various singles, in preparation for Rocket Power. These include the Takeoff tribute record “Without You,” “Greatness” and “Honey Bun.” Last month, Quavo also dropped “Turn Yo Clic Up” with Future.
