Quavo starring in new “Takeover” film

Quavo made a name for himself, by being part of one of the biggest groups in hip-hop, Migos. Migos have been stars ever since 2013, with the breakout success of their “Versace” single, which received a remix with Drake. By 2018, Quavo had been able to balance a solo career, as well.

Quavo has also been building a solid acting resume. He’s appeared in projects such as “Atlanta,” “Black-ish” and the upcoming “Wash Me in the River” film. Now, Quavo is set to star in another film, that is in the works.

Quavo will star in “Takeover,” as this has been confirmed by Trioscope and Quality Films. This movie is an action-thriller, written by Jeb Stuart, who previously worked on films such as “Die Hard” and “The Fugitive.” Also, Takeover is being filmed in Quavo’s hometown of Atlanta.

Quavo plays the role of Guy Miller,  who is “a recent parolee who’s attempting to rehabilitate his life, when circumstances propel him back into Atlanta’s thriving and dangerous takeover scene.”

“I’m really excited for this opportunity, especially shooting in my hometown of Atlanta,” said Quavo, in a statement. “This film is an ideal opportunity to further delve into my craft, and I can’t wait to see how the action plays out in this animated environment.”
