Questlove, From The Roots, Crosses DaBaby Off of His “Summer Of Soul” Artist List; DaBaby Claps Back By Saying He Doesn’t Know Who Quest is, and Doesn’t Care About Losing Him as a Fan

DaBaby has been getting destroyed on social media all week, due to homophobic comments and statements made about people with AIDS/HIV, during his Rolling Loud set in Miami, last weekend. Many people have condemned his comments, such as Madonna, Dua Lipa, and Elton John. Now, Questlove from The Roots is the latest.

On Wednesday night, Quest made a lot of artists, who he’d include in his “Summer Of Soul” acts. He included Megan Thee Stallion, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, The Brothers, Rihanna, Sade, Hiatus Kaiyote, Sault, and even DaBaby, Quest soon crossed DaBaby off of his list, and cited what Baby said as why.

On Friday night, DaBaby finally responded in his Instagram stories, and went in on Quest there. He explained how he doesn’t even know who Quest is, and doesn’t care that he’s not a fan of his anymore. Baby also believes that Quest is playing “follow the leader” and maintains that he himself is a “stand up n*gga.”

At this rate, DaBaby continues to lose fans, and even collaborations, such as the clothing line, Boohoo. Parklife Festival in Manchester, England, supposedly dropped him from their lineup as well, but his team claimed to TMZ that he dropped out of it months ago, due to events in England being canceled over COVID-19 concerns.
