R. Kelly 2From the late 1990s until the early 2000s, R. Kelly was a big hip hop figure because of his work with rappers. Up until 2007, R. Kelly had a lot of big collaborations with hip hop artists, but he changed his focus. R. Kelly has embraced his soul roots in recent years, but is transitioning back into hip hop.

Still, a lot of people will tune into R. Kelly and pay to see him perform, no matter what type of music he makes. Longtime R. Kelly fans should know he doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to concerts, ask Jay-Z. Still, R. Kelly is a hot commodity and always will be.

Many fans were disappointed when they paid $150 for an R. Kelly concert that he did not attend. This was not R. Kelly’s fault, however, as the entire setup was fraudulent with another performer in his place. These people did not pay for R. Kelly like they thought, instead they paid for R. Jelly.
