R. Kelly Pleads Not Guilty To Sex Crimes Involving Underage Girls; Is Being Held Without Bond As He Faces Maximum Of 195 Years In Prison

2019 looks like it’s finally the year that R. Kelly is taken down for his sex crimes involving underage girls for these past three decades. Lifetime’s ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ docuseries in January dived deep into these crimes and federal investigations soon started. He was arrested last week in Chicago on these sex crimes involving these young girls. He’s being charged with 18 federal crimes in the Northern District of Illinois.

Kelly was arraigned today as he entered a not guilty plea, according to The Blast. He faces a maximum sentence of 195 years in prison as 10 victims were involved in this case. In court, his girlfriends Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary who he’s supposedly been holding against their will appeared in court with him as well.

Kelly will be locked up in Chicago’s downtown Metropolitan Correctional Center. A trial date has not officially been set as of now. Expect him to be in prison for a very long time. He supposedly paid off the victims’ families and former employees of his to keep quiet about his crimes as well.
