Raekwon joins king of New York discussion, talks Kendrick Lamar with ItsBizkit [VIDEO]

Raekwon 9Kendrick Lamar left a lasting impact on the rap game when Big Sean recruited him to appear on “Control.” Hall of Fame is due in exactly a week and Big Sean got all the promotion he needed with Kendrick Lamar going off. Among other things, Kendrick called himself the king of New York.

This claim has lit a fire under New York hip hop, unfortunately it has only led to a series of Twitter responses. All of the big rappers from New York have only tweeted about the situation. Joe Budden is the biggest profiled artist to respond and his rap career stems from Jersey City.

Raekwon and Harry Fraud recently held a studio session and they talked to ItsBizkit about the situation. Having been in the game for two decades, Raekwon gave his take on the New York hip hop scene. Even after all these years, Raekwon credited The Notorious B.I.G. as the reigning king of New York.
