Rain talks Smack/URL and not needing a record deal with Forbez DVD [VIDEO]

This year, Rain has watched his career rise to new heights and he’s remained here in Fayetteville while his career has blossomed. It’s definitely a good look for the city, as Rain is morphing into one of the biggest new stars in the game. But, Rain isn’t so new to the people in Fayetteville or to longtime fans of the Smack/URL battle series.

Battle rapping has returned to the forefront of the game, especially after the battles from last summer. This added attention has definitely benefited Rain, but he just like everyone else, does not want to be classified under one title. There is much more to Rain than battle rapping and he is now showing this to the world.

Rain opened up on this when he talked to Forbez DVD, recently. Even as his career is moving more towards street rap than battle rap, Rain still has the support of Smack/URL and he explained this. Without adeal, Rain seems to be making moves, posing with Tahiry at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards, and he also spoke on that.
