Over the past few years, RapGenius.com has overtaken many of the other websites that post song lyrics. Not only does RapGenius.com post the lyrics of the songs, they also have detailed meanings of each lyric. For a genre of music that’s as intricate as hip hop, this comes in handy.

During the Christmas holiday, there was a major change in the hip hop lifestyle. If people tried searching Google for RapGenuis.com, they were sorely disappointed, as the site has been removed from the search engine. Words of advice for hopeful internet content creators, don’t ever cross Google.

In an attempt to raise the traffic of their website, RapGenius.com urged all of its contributors to mention Justin Bieber in their articles. This was done in hopes of increasing web traffic for the site. Once the information about the email was published, word got back to Google and the situation led to them placing RapGenius.com in a low SEO ranking, not showing up until page six.
