Kim Kardashian’s history has not gone overlooked and everyone is aware it was Ray J who put her on the map. This history was even acknowledged by Kanye West on his single, “Clique,” with Big Sean and Jay-Z. In the Kanye verse, he says “my girl a superstar all from a home movie.”

Ray J has offered commentary on Kim Kardashian for years. In many ways, Kim has helped to revitalize Ray J’s career. For two years, the ex couple were the biggest stars in reality television. However, Ray J’s run on VH1 ended in 2011 and he has since returned to his music.

Many were a little confused when Ray J released his “I Hit it First” single. An obvious diss to KimYe to most, Ray J is telling a different story. Hot 97 talked to Ray J over the phone for their segment, “The Realness.” During the interview, Ray J revealed his song was just music and that he was not trying to diss anyone.
