Ten years ago, Lloyd emerged as an R&B superstar with Murder Inc., doing the duet single, “Southside,” with Ashanti. This doubled as the title of his debut album and Lloyd became an immediate star, making good relationships. Lloyd and Lil Wayne were fast friends and there were rumors of him signing to Young Money.
Signing to Young Money did not happen, but Lloyd did find a new deal and he became a bigger star in R&B. A lot of people only see Lloyd as an R&B artist, but there is a lot more to him. In the past, there were a lot of R&B artists who have rapped, such as Omarion, Chris Brown, and Ray J.
Lloyd showed off a different side of his style when he decided to jump into the rap scene. The hottest song out in the streets is the “Move That Dope” record by Future featuring Pharrell and Pusha T. But, Lloyd jumped on the “Move That Dope” single with S. Fresh.
