Not too long ago, many were questioning if Red Cafe had what it took to rise to the next level and “bring New York back.” This looked like something Diddy wanted to make happen, as he refocused on Bad Boy Records and signed Red Cafe. But, years would pass and Red Cafe would drop no official music.

By 2011, Red Cafe scored a minor hit with his “Fly Together” single, which featured popular singer, Ryan Leslie. However, Red Cafe wasn’t the focal point of Bad Boy in 2011, instead it was the signings of Machine Gun Kelly and French Montana. The focal point of the label now appears to be French Montana.

Earlier this week, Red Cafe stopped by Shade 45 to talk to Sway over at “Sway in the Morning” about his career. The question of if he missed his moment came up and this allowed Red Cafe to speak candidly. Red Cafe also spoke on being a mogul, the success of Bobby Shmurda, and moving from Brooklyn.
