No question, hip hop has changed since Redman came through. He debuted, as a solo artist, back in 1994, and he is credited as one of the top lyricists in the history of hip hop. A couple of years ago, Ja Rule claimed he beat Redman in a rap battle, once, however.
Redman, though, is more known for his relationship with Method Man, being closer to him than the core Wu-Tang Clan members. The two became known, on a mainstream level, forĀ How High. Since then, fans have anxiously waited on the sequel.
Recently, Redman stopped by Hot 97, where he sat down with Ebro, Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez. A conversation with Ebro means a conversation about bars, so Redman made it clear he’d give these newer rappers that work. To prove it, Redman came with a freestyle, before he left.
