Redman talks history, Jay Z, freestyles, and debuts new music on “Sway In The Morning” [VIDEO]

A legend in New Jersey and hip hop in general, Redman ripped the cypher at the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards. The legendary rapper is a part of Def Squad and has an iconic partnership with Method Man. Over the past twenty plus years, Redman has come a long way.

Redman made a name for himself and became a household name via backing of Def Jam. Another rapper rose the ranks at Def Jam during his run, Jay Z, and he ended up running the label. Many have mixed opinions on Jay Z’s tenure as the head of hip hop state.

When Redman visited Sway at “Sway In The Morning,” he discussed his history in the game. Discussing history means Jay Z was brought up, but this was overshadowed by the freestyle he ripped. While there, Redman also dropped off some new music for the masses.
