Rema, Ayra Starr, Kash Doll and more headline day one of Afro Nation festival in Detroit

Afro Nation Detroit kicked off its second annual festival on Saturday evening with an unforgettable start, drawing music fans from near and far, as the celebration of Afrobeats was in full effect. Hip-HopVibe was on site, as the anticipation for this year’s event was electric, thanks to a lineup that was teased throughout the spring and summer, promising a spectacular celebration of music and culture.

Day one was nothing short of electric. The stage was graced by a mix of sensational artists, including Uncle Waffles, Musa Keys, Charity, King Promise, and Kash Doll. Their performances set the tone for what was an exhilarating evening of rhythm and energy.

Furthermore, the night reached its climax with standout sets from Ayra Starr, whose recent album The Year I Turned 21 has been receiving rave reviews. Kizz Daniel and Rema also delivered show-stopping performances, with Rema’s meteoric rise over the past two years adding to the festival’s buzz.
