Hearts around the world were broken when news of Whitney Houston’s death hit the internet. Unlike the false reports in September 2011, this time the legendary songstress was dead. Years ago, Whitney Houston fell from grace. Ten years ago, Whitney Houston confirmed stories of her using drugs, adamantly denying she ever used crack, calling it “cheap” during an interview with Diane Sawyer.

There were many who credited the eventual downfall of Whitney Houston to her former husband, fellow singer, Bobby Brown. While Houston admitted to using drugs, she strongly said no one forced her into anything, because no one forces her into doing what she does not want to do. In 2007, the divorce between the tragic couple was final, but they already had a child, Bobbi Kristina, at this point.

When the news of Whitney Houston dying surfaced, many felt as if it were drug or alcohol related. In 2009, the Queen of Pop made a triumphant return, releasing a new album. Whitney Houston told Oprah Winfrey, in an exclusive interview, she was sober and ready to reclaim her position. Upon her death, Whitney Houston had much to live for, as another album, along with a movie was in the works.

An autopsy was performed on Whitney Houston, which has yet to be released. Now, there are sources close to Whitney Houston confirming the story CNN had about her drinking uncontrollably days before her death. Last week, Whitney Houston, reportedly, was ordering drinks from the hotel, in which she died, well before 10 am. The same source said other visitors of the hotel expressed concern in the amount of drinks Houston was ordering and how early it was.
