The reason why HHV writers often say that Chicago has one of the most-diverse hip hop scenes is because of guys like Rhymefest. He represents a style of music nothing like the current Chicago era. Then, they have guys like Kanye West that can blend all sounds.

Rhymefest used to work closely with Kanye West, but it looks like that, too, has changed. Currently, Kanye West is in the spotlight, due to the beef with Drake and Pusha T. After claiming his victory, Drake invoiced them for $100,000, for helping boost Pusha T’s sales.

Already, Rhymefest has been a social media commentator, adding his two cents on Kanye’s drama. Fittingly, he would chime in on the Drake situation. He told Drake, when G.O.O.D. Music cuts the check, to donate the money to help his team rebuild Kanye’s mother’s house, as he told Kanye, himself, about it, and Mr. West said “f*ck the youth of Chicago, according to Rhymefest.
