No rapper has come under more scrutiny over the past five years than Rick Ross, as he caught fire for various reasons. Rick Ross’ background in law enforcement paired with his borrowing the name of Freeway Ricky Ross, the rapper has faced opposition. Coming with the fortune and the fame come the threats, but they reached new heights.

A few weeks ago, there were threats made by the Gangster Disciples over his use of the six point star on his latest mixtape cover. Gangster Disciples members in Charlotte released a YouTube warning Rick Ross to stay away. Now, Live Nation has revealed the Miami rapper will not appear in North Carolina.

Live Nation will be refunding money to those who paid to see Rick Ross and also his artists on Maybach Music, Wale and Meek Mill. No official statement has been released explaining why the North Carolina shows were cancelled. Rick Ross’ “B.M.F.” anthem is what caused many of this anger, according to several reports.
