Even with as many hits as Rick Ross has under his belt, his career is still shaped around his beef with 50 Cent, in many ways. After being almost dormant by 2011, the beef had a new run in 2012. Gunplay got into an altercation with Mike Knox from G-Unit at 2012’s BET Hip Hop Awards. Rumors since have had the beef dying down.
In fact, this morning, there were rumors about Rick Ross and 50 Cent doing a song together with DJ Khaled. Seeing how 50 Cent has made peace with Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Cam’ron, and is even civil to Ja Rule, it would make sense that he and Ross make peace. But, tensions have a tendency to run deep sometimes.
Rick Ross’ Mastermind is due on March 4. The album is filled with bangers and appearances from the biggest names in hip hop. Perhaps the truce with 50 Cent is official, now. However, it might not have been when Rick Ross recorded the Mastermind intro. Kazeem, known as @RealLifeKaz on Twitter posted this evening that Rick Ross dissed 50 Cent on the Mastermind intro.
