No matter what he does, Rick Ross cannot come from under the fire for his poor choice of words on Rocko’s “U.E.N.O.” On the song, which also features Future, Rick Ross raps about slipping a Molly into a girl’s drink and her waking up with him. Rick Ross has since apologized, but it has fallen upon deaf ears.
Rick Ross’ situation has hit close to home with organization groups protesting outside of the offices of Reebok. Threatening Rick Ross’ sponsorships is sure to hurt business for the rapper. However, it has gone much deeper than that with the University of Ottawa cancelling their Rick Ross show.
Now, it has gone from bad to worse for Rick Ross, as he has even more schools cancelling their shows. Carleton University is another school which has spoken out in Canada. They also have cancelled their show with Rick Ross as the headliner. Along with cancelling the show, Carleton University released a statement.
Read Carleton University’s statement below:
“The Carleton University Students’ Association is hereby informing our membership and the greater community that as previously indicated, we have worked hard to negotiate and reach a settlement with the organizers of the upcoming Rick Ross concert.
As such, CUSA has completely pulled its support from the show and will be reimbursing all of the students who have purchased their tickets from the association starting as early as Monday, April 8th. No more tickets will be sold through the association here on.
We would like to emphasize that this decision was made collaboratively in conversation with different parties involved. The respectful dialogue included the organizers, the executive team and most importantly our students.”
