Over the past few weeks, Rick Ross has been in headlines due to being threatened by gang members in North Carolina and Chicago. Rick Ross went on to cancel his tour dates in Greensboro and Charlotte. Days later, Rick Ross cancelled the entire MMG tour, while Meek Mill still performed those dates.
Rick Ross has been involved in two high-profile feuds over the past few years. Until a few weeks ago, both feuds appeared to be dormant. In 2009, Rick Ross began taking shots at 50 Cent. The two spent the next year taking shots at each other and Rick Ross soon began feuding with Young Jeezy.
Back home, Rick Ross stopped by Miami’s 99 Jamz to clear up several rumors. First, the Maybach Music boss spoke on the threats. Denying any rumors of cancelling his tour over threats, Rick Ross said he is good in any hood. Rick Ross also spoke on the fight with Young Jeezy at BET, including Gunplay’s involvement.
Explaining Gunplay was avoiding Young Jeezy and company due to legal issues, Rick Ross said he instead ran into G-Unit. Prior to this incident, Rick Ross said nothing was personal between Young Jeezy or 50 cent. But, after this, along with their smug comments to the media, things are now personal when he sees either of them. Rick Ross also said he may start his own boxing promotional company to go against 50 Cent’s new venture.
